Emergency Dental Care
Dental emergencies can strike at any time, any place. An injury to the teeth or gums can be potentially serious whether it be a toothache or an injury and therefore it should never be ignored. Neglecting a dental problem can elevate the risk of permanent damage and you could end up with more extensive and expensive treatment later on.
How to handle dental emergencies?
Rinse your mouth with warm water and remove any lodged food using floss. If there is swelling or bleeding, apply a cold compress to the outside of your mouth or cheek. If you have knocked out a tooth, put the loose tooth in a jar of milk and take it with you to the dentist within the hour. In case your orthodontic brace breaks or becomes loose, cover the ends with gauze till you are at the dentist.
In all cases, rush to your dentist as soon as possible.
