Invisalign® Braces come with removable plastic aligners that can be taken out to eat, drink, brush your teeth, and floss. This offers more comfort and convenience as the aligners are virtually invisible. You can go on with your regular routine with confidence.
The steps for the Invisalign in Dubai process are as follows:
More
Detailed Examination: Our orthodontist at Dr. Paul’s will conduct a detailed examination and scan your mouth in under 60 seconds with the iTero 5-D element scanner. This is a digital scanner that will create instant images of your mouth, your teeth, tissues, bite, etc. and serves as the blueprint that creates the digital 3D image that will help us in defining the right route for your treatment.
Treatment Plan: Once the scan is completed, the 3D image is sent to the ClinCheck software wherein the doctors will be able to navigate each and every movement of the teeth and plan the entire treatment from start to finish. The patient will be able to see a simulation of the various stages of the treatment, including before, during and after the treatment is completed.
Customised Aligners: Once the treatment plan is determined with the ClinCheck software, the Invisalign® trays are fabricated at the Invisalign® laboratory. Made of smooth, comfortable, BPA-free plastic, these aligners won’t irritate your cheeks and gums like traditional metal braces. The aligners are made from a special medical-grade thermoplastic known as SmartTrack® that is FDA-approved.
Monitoring Your Progress: You will get a new set of aligners every two weeks and your orthodontist will monitor your progress. Patients will be required to see their orthodontist every month during this time. At the end of the treatment, you will be rewarded with a brand new smile. Some patients usually need retainers after the treatment in order to keep their teeth from shifting back to their pre-treatment positions.

You should refrain from smoking whilst using Invisalign® as it will cause discoloration to the aligners.
Switching from traditional braces to Invisalign® is possible but a consultation with your Invisalign®-certified orthodontist is paramount as some more severe dental cases cannot be rectified using Invisalign.
You can drink beverages such as tea and coffee whilst wearing Invisalign® as long as they are not too hot. Having said this, since Invisalign® aligners are removable, it is wiser to remove them and then drink your beverage. Make sure that you wash your mouth and clean your teeth well before replacing your aligners.
We recommended that you drink water and other cold liquids when wearing Invisalign®.
On average it takes around 12 to 18 months to complete the alignment process with the Invisalign® treatment. During the treatment, it is advisable to see your orthodontist for a check-up every month.
It is recommended to wear Invisalign® for a minimum time frame of at least 22 hours a day. Invisalign® aligners are removable which is great to do whilst eating to avoid staining, unlike conventional braces which cannot be removed.
There are a few things that can disqualify you from getting Invisalign.
Invisalign® on one arch is usually best for people who have a few crooked front teeth and want cosmetic teeth straightening to improve the way their smile looks. More complex issues such as crossbites or open bites require treatment on both arches. Our Specialist Orthodontist will help you determine which one is most appropriate for your individual smile.
Invisalign® straightens your teeth with comparative comfort and discretion, and they help to create more even smiles. They’re clear, so they remain almost undetectable during your treatment, but this isn’t their only plus-side. Invisalign® may look discrete, but they also function exceptionally well to straighten your bite as well as fixing cosmetic needs.
Patient motivation is of utmost importance. It is not recommended for children. The aligners cannot be worn while eating. Lost trays, missed appointments and poor patient compliance can lengthen the treatment duration and affect the final results. The costs are higher when compared to conventional braces therapy.
The clear trays are significantly more aesthetic and comfortable when compared to metal braces. Tooth extraction is not advocated and lacerations and injuries are not there either. Maintaining oral hygiene is much easier owing to its removable nature. It is ideal for retreatment cases and for teenagers and adults who are unwilling to wear metal braces. The other factors include the ability to visualise the treatment outcome during the planning stage, with the help of software. Invisalign® requires shorter and less frequent appointments with the orthodontist, as patients can replace their aligners on their own. If worn systematically, you can get more precise treatment.

Your Invisalign® certified orthodontist will first do an initial assessment and diagnosis. Pre-treatment records like radiographs, photographs, and models of your teeth and jaws will then be made. An intraoral scanner - iTero 5-D, is used to make measurements of your teeth and provide you with a 3-D image of your mouth, after which, the doctor can map out your treatment plan with the help of the ClinCheck software. Hereafter, your scans will be sent to the Invisalign® office. Once the trays are ready, the doctor will give you the usage instructions. Detailed explanations about when you should consider switching between the trays will also be given. Follow-up appointments may be scheduled.
Invisalign® is an aesthetic new-age orthodontic treatment modality. In simple words, these are a series of personalised removable transparent plastic trays that facilitate teeth movement when worn systematically. They are made with the help of cutting-edge CAD-CAM technology. Invisalign® clear braces quickly gained popularity over traditional metal braces as many teenagers and adults became more concerned about their appearances during the treatment window.
